Mission

Queen Esther is a non-governmental organisation (NGO) whose mission is youth, especially girls and young women empowerment through life skills, leadership, and mentorship cultivation.

Lead Girl

Piloted in December 2015, the project has trained over 500 girls and young women and, over 100 stakeholders from Maun and surrounding villages all during train the trainer workshops on life and leadership skills, health promotion and advocacy for girls’ rights. The girls and young women trained in the workshops go back to their schools and communities and start Lead Girl clubs that teach life skills and promote leadership and empowerment of the girl child. Lead Girl clubs have been established in 15 primary schools and 9 secondary schools in Maun and surrounding hard to reach villages. Each club has an average of 30 members. Thus far the LEAD Girls have been able to reach over 10,000 peers during school outreaches and assemblies and Kgotla outreaches where they have taught students and teachers on life/leadership skills.

Kagiso Project

A conflict resolution and peace building initiative whose foundation of approach is the utlization of the traditional Kgotla system, and is incorporated in church, schools, and within the broader community.

Outreach & Trainings

Through direct action, we conduct outreach programs in schools to carry out gender education, HIV and AIDS prevention interventions, and exposure to leadership, mentorship, and professionalism to empower the youth and students to create the world we all with to live in and not remain the world as it is.

International Beauty Pageant

Queen Esther International Beauty Pageant is a leadership mentorship program for young women. The programme aims to empower the girl child and young women to be outstanding and remarkable good role models to their generation and be agents of change in their communities.
